Assistant
Last updated: October 21, 2026

Overview

Assistant is a personal application built and operated by Thomas LaCroix for private, single-user use. It is not a public service and does not collect data from external users.

Data accessed

Assistant connects to Google APIs with the following permissions:

How data is used

Data retrieved from Google services is used solely to provide personal assistant functionality to the application owner: summarizing emails, managing schedules, and organizing tasks. Data is processed in real time and is not stored permanently beyond short-lived session caches.

Data sharing

No data accessed through Google APIs is shared with, sold to, or disclosed to any third party. The application runs on private infrastructure controlled by the developer.

Data storage and security

OAuth refresh tokens are stored in an encrypted environment configuration on a privately operated server. Access tokens are generated on demand and held in memory only for the duration of an API request. No Google user data is written to persistent storage.

Data retention

The application does not retain copies of emails, calendar events, or tasks. All data is fetched from Google on each request and discarded after use.

Your rights

As the sole user, the application owner can revoke access at any time by removing the app's permissions in Google Account settings.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated if the application's scope or data handling changes. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
